Get2Go Privacy Notice
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. ABOUT THIS NOTICE
This Privacy Notice explains how Get2Go collects, uses, stores and protects
personal information when you visit get2go.online, contact us, make an enquiry,
communicate with us about our services, or interact with us in a business
capacity.
Get2Go provides web design, website development and managed hosting services
primarily to businesses.
3. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
• your name;
• business email address and other business contact details;
• company or organisation name;
• job title or business role;
• information contained in an enquiry or other correspondence;
• information about services you are interested in;
• records of our communications with you;
• publicly available business contact information where we identify a potential
business customer;
• technical information generated when you use our website, such as IP address,
browser/device information, request logs and security information, to the
extent this is processed by us or our service providers; and
• information reasonably necessary to prepare a proposal, provide services,
administer a business relationship, comply with law or protect our systems.
Please do not send special category or highly sensitive personal information
through our general enquiry form unless we have specifically asked you to do so.
4. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may collect information:
• directly from you when you submit an enquiry, email us or otherwise contact us;
• through your organisation in connection with a business enquiry or relationship;
• from publicly available business sources, such as an organisation's website,
professional business directory or other public corporate information;
• through our website and the infrastructure used to operate and secure it; and
• during discussions about a proposed or existing business relationship.
5. WHY WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND OUR UK LAWFUL BASES
We may use personal information for the following purposes.
Responding to enquiries and discussing potential services
We use information to respond to requests, understand requirements, communicate
with you and prepare proposals. Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis
is our legitimate interests in operating and developing our business and/or
taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Providing and administering services
Where a business relationship is established, we use relevant information to
communicate, manage projects, provide support, administer accounts and fulfil
our obligations. Our lawful bases may include performance of a contract, steps
before entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in administering our
business relationships.
Business-to-business marketing and prospecting
We may identify organisations that may reasonably have an interest in Get2Go's
business services and use appropriate business contact information to make a
relevant business approach, where permitted by applicable law.
Where UK data protection law applies to identifiable business contacts, we may
rely on our legitimate interests in promoting and developing Get2Go, provided
those interests are not overridden by the individual's interests, rights and
freedoms. We consider the context, source of the information, relevance of the
recipient's business role, nature of the service and reasonable expectations.
You may object to direct marketing at any time. If you ask us to stop, we may
retain limited information on a suppression list so that we can respect your
request.
Website operation, security and fraud prevention
We may process technical information where necessary to operate, troubleshoot,
protect and secure our website and services. Our lawful basis is generally our
legitimate interests in maintaining secure and reliable systems and, where
applicable, compliance with legal obligations.
Legal and administrative obligations
We may process information where necessary to maintain business and tax records,
establish or defend legal claims, respond to lawful requests, and comply with
applicable laws. The lawful basis may be compliance with a legal obligation or
our legitimate interests in protecting and administering the business.
6. MARKETING CONTACTS OBTAINED FROM PUBLIC SOURCES
Get2Go may research businesses that could reasonably be interested in our
business services. In doing so, we may obtain business contact information from
publicly available sources, including company websites.
The categories of information may include a person's name, business role,
business email address, organisation and publicly available information relevant
to a potential business requirement.
The source will ordinarily be the relevant organisation's public website or
another identified public business source.
We do not regard the fact that information is publicly available as automatically
giving unrestricted permission to use it. We assess and use business contact
information in accordance with applicable direct-marketing and data-protection
requirements.
If you do not want to receive marketing communications from Get2Go, contact
inquiries@get2go.online or use the opt-out method stated in our communication.
We will not charge you for exercising an applicable opt-out right.
7. HONG KONG BUSINESS CONTACTS
Where we contact businesses or business representatives in Hong Kong, we aim to
use business contact information in a manner appropriate to the recipient's
official capacity and to market services intended for the organisation rather
than for the individual's private use.
We will also respect applicable requirements concerning commercial electronic
messages and direct marketing, including requests to stop receiving marketing.
8. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We use third-party providers to operate our business and website. Depending on
the service and configuration in use, these may include:
• Netlify, for website hosting and related infrastructure;
• Zoho, for business email and related communications; and
• professional, technical or other service providers where reasonably necessary
to operate Get2Go or provide requested services.
We may use other infrastructure providers, including cloud, hosting, media or
API providers, for particular projects. We do not list a provider here merely
because Get2Go may use it in the future. This notice should be updated when a
provider materially processes personal information for Get2Go's own website or
business operations.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend
legal rights, or in connection with a legitimate restructuring or transfer of
the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information.
9. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING AND TRANSFERS
Some service providers may process information in countries outside the United
Kingdom. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international
transfer, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or other
permitted basis.
The exact locations and safeguards may depend on the service provider and
configuration being used.
10. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the
purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, security and
business-administration requirements.
Enquiries and unsuccessful prospective business communications will be reviewed
periodically and deleted or anonymised when they are no longer reasonably
required.
Where someone has objected to marketing, we may retain the minimum information
necessary on a suppression list for longer so that we can continue to honour
that request.
Records relating to clients, contracts, invoices and transactions may be kept
for longer where required for tax, accounting, contractual or legal purposes.
11. SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect
personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or
disclosure.
No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely
secure.
12. YOUR UK DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS
Where UK data protection law applies, depending on the circumstances you may
have rights to:
• request access to your personal information;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of information;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to processing, including a right to object to direct marketing;
• receive certain information in a portable format; and
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
To exercise a right, contact inquiries@get2go.online.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office
(ICO). Information about the ICO and how to make a complaint is available at
https://ico.org.uk/.
If you are located outside the UK, you may also have rights under the data
protection or privacy laws applicable to you.
13. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to
operate, secure or deliver the site.
If we use non-essential cookies or similar technologies, such as certain
analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide appropriate information
and obtain consent where required before using them.
Please see our Cookie Notice, where provided, for further information.
14. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control those
websites and their handling of personal information is governed by their own
privacy information.
15. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE
We may update this Privacy Notice when our business, technology, service
providers or legal obligations change.
The current version will be published on get2go.online with its last-updated
date.
